For this residential landscape design concept, the client requested a study in contrasts with both a formal layout and natural aesthetic. Our solution was to blur the line between the built hardscape and the native landscape. This was done through a series of interjections where the built reaches into the landscape and the landscape into the hardscape, thus creating a staggered edge between the two. The landscape design will create incredible outdoor living space, framing and opening up to the views of what will be a new home in the Medicine Rock development near Whitefish, Montana.
