ME House, located in the picturesque area of Puembo, near Quito, stands as an intuitive and visionary architectural response to the dynamics of modern family life. Designed for a family of four, this residence not only addresses the current needs of a family life in connection with its natural surroundings, but also anticipates future demands. In its design, the ME House honors the spirit of the place, harmoniously merging with the constraints of the golf club in which it is located. The front and side retreats, far from being limitations, become an opportunity to define a space that dialogues with the surrounding landscape.
The ground floor layout, with a simple height bar, houses not only service areas like garages, but also private spaces such as the kitchen and family room. This configuration creates a smooth transition to the back garden, effortlessly integrating the social spaces that have been resolved in a height and a half of sloped ceiling. A notable feature is the planned elevator, which currently serves as a practical storage closet. This element, designed to adapt to the future mobility needs of its inhabitants, reflects the design philosophy that permeates the entire house: adaptability and foresight. The exterior and interior spaces intertwine without barriers, creating a continuous flow that encompasses everything from the grill area to the pool, fostering constant interaction with the natural environment.
The master bedroom, located above the kitchen on the upper floor, takes advantage of the golf course views and visually merges with the garden and surrounding landscape. The ME House is not only a residential structure; it is also an architectural exploration of contemporary life, encapsulating the need for flexibility, functionality, and a deep connection with its environment. This project not only meets current expectations but also adapts and responds to the changes and challenges of the future
