For the MDU Community Bowl - North Dakota’s finest outdoor football, soccer and track facility- JLG's landscape architects coordinated with a multi-disciplinary team to create a stadium that focuses attention on student athletics and the visitor experience. JLG paid particular attention to the spectator facility entry, where an entry plaza and monumental stair leads visitors down to the field at the 50 yard line. In addition, JLG's landscape architects planned site grading to accommodate accessibility regulations and provide ease of access for all visitors. As part of the overall project, the existing 9-lane running track, which was built nearly 20 years earlier, was resurfaced with a two part polyurethane material. The resurfacing restored the track’s ability to absorb shock and renewed its life span.
