In an effort to bolster recruitment for their Healthcare Professions program, Maryville University needed a state-of-the-art lab and academic facility to continue their excellence in education and stay competitive in the region. The team was charged to maintain high connectivity to the campus, while still bringing a fresh perspective for the project.
Forum’s designs for the three-story, 87,000-square-foot facility were inspired by a unique “open collaboration” concept, promoting natural interaction among students, faculty, and staff. This innovative facility is certified LEED Silver through measures such as reducing energy use by 24 percent, enhanced commissioning, reducing water use, and selecting regionally harvested and recycled materials.
