MAPFRE Insurance Building Complex is designed with the idea to present productive and comfortable interior and exterior spaces for the users. The complex sits on seven adjacent lots and consists five separate buildings of which two of them is the existing old buildings of the company. The main motivation behind the decisions of the different buildings on the site was the desire to protect the existing mature trees and creating a comfortable open air space for the users of the surrounding buildings. The office building facing to the main street includes the office spaces of the MAPFRE General Insurance firm and also acts as a gate to the overall complex with car and pedestrian entrances. B block houses the offices for the MAPFRE General Life Insurance firm as well as seminar rooms, staff restaurant, cafe and multi-purpose hall around an interior courtyard. The law department which serves to both firms on the complex is located on the C block, in which a health club and library is also incorporated. Existing buildings on the site will have an extensive refurbishment and facade renovation and later on will house accommodation units for the guests of the firm as well as agent offices working in the close regions.
