Manifest 002 is organized as a sequence of sculptural spaces that move from public to private, unfolding as a spatial journey rather than a single destination. Members and non-members progress through a series of interconnected programs including a barber shop, café, retail market, community lounge, bar, speakeasy, and private dining areas. Architecture guides this movement through continuous forms that shift in scale, color, and intimacy.
The experience begins at street level in a light-filled retail space defined by 14-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass. A freestanding barber shop pavilion anchors the room, presenting the intimate ritual of barbering as a visible and social act. Adjacent to it, the café engages in a visual dialogue with the barber stations, reinforcing the space as active and communal. Both programs are unified by a soft sage green barrel vault that introduces a sense of structure and permanence, balancing traditional references with a pared-back, abstract language.
A sculptural mauve lacquered spiral stair leads downward, signaling a transition into more immersive interiors. At its base, a long retail space unfolds in peach-blush tones, with gently undulating walls that culminate in a semicircular display apse beneath a vaulted ceiling. The proportions and symmetry lend the space a calm, focused presence.
Beyond the retail zone, the club lounge opens in warm ochre hues. A sweeping semicircular cove defines the room, while banquette niches along the perimeter provide moments of intimacy within the larger volume. The adjacent bar is lower and more compressed, creating contrast through scale and atmosphere.
Deeper within the plan, an emerald green speakeasy introduces a richer, more saturated environment. Vaulted ceilings, reflective finishes, and tightly arranged seating encourage proximity and energy. At the furthest point, a rose-toned private lounge and dining space offers the most secluded and contemplative setting.
Throughout Manifest 002, color transitions from light to dark and from open to enclosed, reinforcing the spatial progression. A restrained material palette of sculpted plaster, polished concrete floors, and soft indirect lighting emphasizes form and texture over ornament. The result is a cohesive architectural experience that reads as an inhabitable sculpture, approachable and refined, designed to support comfort, connection, and a sense of belonging.
