This self-sustaining environmental center is intended to serve as a model for other community environmental centers in the region. The primary objectives of this project will be to reduce the center's carbon footprint, energy consumption, and natural resource consumption. The environmental center will be built with high performance building envelop using thermally broken high performance exterior walls and roof assembly. The building will be cooled and heated with high efficiency heat pump systems. Rainwater will be collected and recycled for flushing toilets and irrigation. Building will be Net Zero and Zero Carbon.
