Malai Wellness Resort is envisioned as a destination that reconnects guests with its mountainous natural setting. Drawing inspiration from the organic rhythm of surrounding peaks and forest canopies, the design forms a seamless circular spatial journey, elevating the dining experience through the expressive interplay of structure, filtered light, and the tranquility of the landscape.
The key challenge was creating a strong architectural identity while preserving a seamless connection to the surrounding landscape. The design resolves this through an open circular layout, panoramic transparency, arranging furniture to fit the shape of the space, and a timber canopy system that frames views while filtering light naturally.
The final design delivers a tranquil dining atmosphere, blending architectural grandeur with user comfort. Natural light, panoramic open spaces, and tactile materials create a memorable sensory experience, while the spatial arrangement facilitates fluid movement to absorb the surrounding context. The interior design further enhances the beauty of the surrounding environment.
