M-1 Rail
The M-1 Rail project builds upon the initial light rail concept study executed in 2007. c2architecture studio [construcTWO, LLC] led the design for the stations. The proposed light rail will stretch from the Detroit River to the New Center area along a 3.4 mile length along Woodward Avenue. Key elements integrated into the stations include an information media cube (housing electronic displays, local and global maps, ticketing and validation, and a digital display panel); sheltered seating areas; and bike racks.
