My
studio is a woman-owned critical architectural practice based in
Washington DC. In 2000, I started c2 based on the idea of a fluid and open
architectural studio, which could draw from a network of colleagues around the
world. I was, and still am, interested in pushing the envelope of a traditional
architectural practice, not limited by physical location, and challenging
conventional processes and relationships. My current and past work have
afforded me the opportunities to test these strategies and methods. c2 remains
committed to engaging in multi-layered, integrated, and rigorous research and
design efforts. I continue to challenge my own assumptions about architecture,
space, materiality, tectonics, and the perceptual in my work.
