The Cypress Center, an 85,000 GSF work force/classroom building, is located in Katy, Texas. The Center is a stand-alone facility located on an eleven-acre campus. Programmed spaces include classrooms, science labs, tutoring and learning commons areas, administrative and faculty offices, testing rooms, cashiers, welding & machining lab, workforce classrooms, and outdoor one to one interaction space.
A variety of student use related areas are located throughout the two story facility including seating areas, group study and conversation corners as well as a space for gathering and eating. The building and site layout is open while the covered areas is designed for student congregation and private relaxation. Also addressed on the site were the ingress and egress to accommodate the traffic needs identified by Harris County.
The campus was occupied in fall of 2013.
