Vicca Verde transformed an old Republican-style house, part of an iconic hacienda in Lima, into a contemporary restaurant. The client, who already had experience in the gastronomic industry at the same location, sought a renovation that would refresh the restaurant’s image while meeting international standards.
The project stripped the house of its residential character, adding a contemporary touch. Walls were removed, metal portals were incorporated, and a double-height space was created. The house was highlighted by being painted graphite gray, creating a striking contrast with its traditional construction.
H-shaped steel beams were used to emphasize the distinction between the old and the new. Inside, perforated metal sheets with various patterns were incorporated to create interconnected visual textures. The result is a timeless and functional space that preserves a subtle historical reference.
This project by Vicca Verde achieved an impressive transformation of the old Republican house into a contemporary restaurant, successfully blending history with modernity.
