Hospitals don’t have to feel cold. For the Lilavati Hospital lobby, our intent was to reimagine what a healthcare space could feel like — calm, welcoming, and deeply human.
We replaced sterile whites with warm tones of beige and wood, using soft, diffused lighting to create a sense of comfort the moment one walks in. The ceiling’s geometric wood bands draw the eye upward, balancing scale with rhythm.
Every material, surface, and curve was chosen to ease anxiety — to make patients and visitors feel like they’re arriving somewhere familiar, Recovery Center, rather than a typical hospital environment.
