This bird and bug pole and landscape improvements were carried out by the Leslie Street Greenspace Group on behalf of the residents of Pollokshields in April 2013.

The project was funded by Glasgow City Council Stalled Spaces Programme, Central Scotland Green Network Community Projects Fund and Glasgow City Council Area Committee Funding with support and assistance from Glasgow City Council Land and Environmental Services Department.

The totem pole design was developed by Collective Architecture and be-plus in association with the Eco Groups at both Glendale Primary School and Pollokshields Primary School.
