This award-winning library project includes a wide variety of study spaces, traditional and digital holdings, student support spaces and supports a pro-active library service model. The project was conceived as a part of a master plan for the college (completed by Teeple Architects) that foresees the transformation of the campus from a megastructure within a sea of parking into a sequence of interdependent outdoor and indoor learning spaces. The building is the new focus of and gateway into the campus, showcasing the dynamism of student life. Oriented toward the pedestrian entrance, a forecourt and reflective pool and landscaped zone draw the public in from the street, and animate a central circulation path that runs through the campus.
