The overarching concept of this project revolves around its harmonious integration with the challenging steep slope hillside, achieved through a deliberate step-down approach that unveils captivating vistas of Lake Tapps and the majestic backdrop of Mount Rainier. Our design ethos extends to the very windows themselves, as we aimed to mirror the elegance of the surrounding trees. The windows, characterized by their slender and lofty profiles, emulate the stately trunks of trees, while the sporadic mullions artfully evoke the intricate branching patterns found in nature. To further anchor the structure in its environment, we've judiciously employed a wealth of natural materials such as wood and concrete, ensuring a seamless blend with the organic surroundings.
