The Kortright Centre retained LGA Architectural Partners to rehabilitate the existing building envelope and mechanical systems. The client also wanted to introduce a significant amount of natural light into the existing facility. During the course of initital discussions it became apparent that the Kortright Centre had long-term goals that went beyond these initial renovations. LGA Architectural Partners developed a conceptual design that successfully interpreted and incorporated the future vision with the work to be done. LGA propsosed a phased, multi-year approach to the work tied into the centre’s ability to raise capital funds for the improvement. The phasing also addressed the Kortright Centre’s desire to remain open during the entire process with as little disruption to their visitors as possible.
