Køge is Culture and produces culture – culture as a concept needs to be investigated.
Køge Culture House, is a dynamic building, witch connect the 4 different cultural institutions in one scheme, and thereby creating a space where the citizens of Køge can explore culture as diversity. Different activities share common space and they each contributes to the life lived in the building.
The house is both connector for the cultural life of Køge and the same time, it challenges the general perception of culture, by creating spaces that allows diversity- both in form and in the functions defined by the user.
By combining regular shapes and simple geometrical effects, flexible zones are created where the user can experience a variety of spaces with different materiality, lights and relations between inner and outer space.
