Created by DION ART for Soul Space—a Wellness Destination & Event Space in Cleveland—«Waves of Light» is a groundbreaking kinetic installation that reimagines the connection between space, body, and light. Merging sculptural aesthetics with advanced technology, the installation creates an immersive environment where movement and illumination respond to human presence and rhythm.
In a global first, visitors can now practice yoga, meditation, and pilates beneath flowing waves of light that shift and breathe in harmony with the participants' movements. The result is a deeply immersive experience that fosters focus, calm, and connection—turning Soul Space into a sanctuary of modern wellness and artistic innovation.
The installation features 91 custom-designed light fixtures, crafted from advanced light-diffusing plastic to create a soft, ambient glow. Each fixture houses a programmable LED module and is suspended on an individual kinetic winch, allowing for precise, fluid movement.
Specifically for «Waves of Light», DION ART developed seven unique motion-light scenarios, choreographing dynamic compositions of light, shape, and spatial rhythm. These modes can be adapted to suit different activities and moods—ranging from slow meditative flows to more energized, wave-like patterns—transforming the perception of the room in real time.
This project is a striking example of how kinetic art can transcend aesthetics to become part of human-centered design. «Waves of Light» is not just an installation—it is a living space of transformation, presence, and poetic interaction.
