Designed by DION ART for the Wellness Destination & Event Space Soul Space in Cleveland, Ohio, «Circles of Light» is a kinetic installation that redefines the role of light in architecture. This immersive ceiling-mounted artwork transforms space into a sensory experience, blending sculptural form, fluid movement, and ambient illumination.
The installation consists of three concentric circles embedded within the lobby ceiling, collectively housing 58 suspended light elements:
Outer circle (Ø 8’4”): 32 fixtures
Middle circle (Ø 5’10”): 17 fixtures
Inner circle (Ø 4’8”): 9 fixtures
Each element, crafted from innovative plastic with soft-diffusion properties, is suspended on kinetic winches that allow for precise, graceful motion. Coordinated via programmable software, the lighting scenarios shift seamlessly to suit various events, moods, and times of day—turning the installation into a living, breathing part of the interior.
As the elements move and glow, they create a rhythmic choreography of light and space. Whether casting a meditative ambiance or enhancing an energetic event atmosphere, «Circles of Light» adapts, responds, and resonates.
