The briefing proposed creating a hotel with a local, artisan and custom-designed approach, with unique spaces that reflect the lifestyle and architecture of Barcelona.
The design strategy is based on creating a dialogue between the Hotel and Barcelona, and more specifically, a close connection with Ciutat Vella, a neighbourhood with an old body but a young soul.
The ground floor is used exclusively for the bar, turning it into a link between the city and the Hotel, leaving the lobby and the rest of the program for the upper floors.
The design introduces artisanal elements, local brands, and art, colourful patterns on ceramic pieces, and reinterpreted references to its storied past. All these elements, mixed with a contemporary and spontaneous approach, give the Vividora Hotel a unique and energetic personality.
In the Hotel rooms we wanted to reflect the local lifestyle, with an elegant but very relaxed and chic atmosphere. Colour, temperature and materiality are the main ingredients of the design, playing a game of contrasts, just like in the city itself.
We work with an open program concept, where the different activities in the room are mixed, generating new situations and interferences.
