Office space designed to get people moving.
When Peloton hired Corgan in the beginning of 2020, the project was a simple expansion adjacent to their current facility in Plano. But as the pandemic took hold and gyms and other fitness studios began to close, Peloton experienced a countereffect and orders for their bikes soared. What started out as a 60,000-square-foot project rapidly spun into a 100,000-square-foot project with expanded scope.
The challenge from Peloton was how to turn a nondescript warehouse space into a vibrant and brand-focused office environment supporting 750 administrative and member support team associates. Peloton is an employee-focused company, and providing a great work environment is important to their brand and their culture.
With the added square footage, Peloton decided to enhance their original programmed amenities and make this project a training and development hub. Because of the large footprint, Peloton created two entrances — one primarily for visitors and people coming for training and another for locally-based employees. Always keeping the employee top-of-mind, one entrance could not be better than the other. The employee entrance offers adjacency to the work café, which is considered the heart of social interaction for Peloton. The visitor’s entrance is located near the training rooms and fitness center, featuring what other than Peloton bikes, treads, and video workout space.
