CASA ISOLATED is a contemporary architectural project located in the vicinity of Rinconada de San Pablo del Lago in the province of Imbabura, Ecuador. It is isolated in the midst of a completely natural environment, with generally cool and temperate climatic conditions due to its altitude. The house is developed on two floors within an area of 79m2, its focus is singularity, and its modularity allows replication and adaptation of its creation to multiple rural or urban contexts, with similar conditions. The design is based on criteria of space efficiency and functionality, use of sustainable materials that generate comfort for the user, while incorporating distinctive architectural elements such as sloping roofs and a central core of wooden stairs.
General characteristics:
• Modularity: The design of the house is based on modules that can be easily replicated and assembled to create an architectural ensemble of similar houses.
• Energy efficiency: The project incorporates sustainable features such as solar panels on the roof, thermal insulation, and cross ventilation to reduce energy consumption.
• Modern materials: Contemporary and sustainable materials such as steel, glass, and wood are used, which are not only aesthetically pleasing but also resistant and easy to maintain.
Distribution
Ground floor:
• Main entrance: The house is accessed through a main entrance that leads to a vestibule area with space to receive visitors.
• Living room: Designed to be a cozy and versatile space, it is located next to the vestibule with large windows that provide natural light.
• Dining room: The dining area is in open connection with the living room and kitchen, allowing for a fluid distribution of space.
• Kitchen with Washer and Dryer: The modern kitchen is equipped with high-quality appliances. A separate space houses the washer and dryer, making laundry tasks easier.
• Social Bathroom: Elegant and contemporary, it is discreetly located on the ground floor for the convenience of residents and visitors.
• Garage: Provides an ideal space for two vehicles with direct access to the house at the front or back.
• Exterior Gardens: The vegetation surrounding the building provides shade and a pleasant place for outdoor activities.
Upper Floor:
• Central Stair Core: Acts as a central architectural element and allows access to the second floor in a modern and stylized way. The wooden stairs, which are held by tension cables, generate the sensation of floating.
• Bedrooms: On the second floor, there are two well-lit and spacious bedrooms, each with space for a double bed and built-in wardrobes for storage. Large windows provide natural light.
• Full Bathroom: It has modern sink and toilet, the shower has an illuminated niche for personal grooming accessories.
• Balcony: From the central corridor, you can access the balcony, which offers an outdoor space to enjoy the views and the breeze.
Sloping Roofs:
The house has two sloping roofs that cover the social area on the ground floor and the private area on the upper floor, providing protection and aesthetic character to the design.
