In-Out Curtain was produced for the exhibition Ornament (shown in Chicago and Pittsburgh), as a digital fabrication prototype. It is formed as a modulated structural surface made of laser-cut and folded hollow wood veneer modules - operating as a hybrid between a curtain and blind.
Because each veneer module is interwoven with its neigboring module, moving one part of In-Out Curtain produces an unexpected subtle shape change to the overall array of modules.
