STATUS
Built
YEAR
2016
The project was born of compromise between the desire to preserve the atmosphere of the existing building and the desire to contribute a new breath of fresh air ... Located in a rural estate, attached to a winery and surrounded by vineyards as far as the eye can see, the building housing becomes an idyllic place to unwind from everyday life, relax and savor the views that surround it, like a good wine.
With over one hundred years old, preserving the spirit of the original construction is one of the required enforcement and combine this with a new image with the needs of the current user's life is a challenge gladly accepted and resolved with the dialogue between rustic and essentialist styles, with natural materials on the one hand (wooden beams, pillars of solid brick treated...) and as current as LED lighting elements on the other. All this matured in barrels results in a house that smells like wood and tastes like History... History of past, but also of present and future that is yet to be written...
