The first of its kind in the village of Bsharre, the House holds an important responsibility: that of being the source place for any Tourist. It should therefore assert itself in the Ministry of Tourism. It will resolutely be looking towards exploring all regions in Bsharre and its surrounding.
A place of informations and maps guides, that will ease the trail of tourists through all religious, cultural, historical, social spots in the village. This role should not be limited to our geographical context; rather, it should be able to reach all the pathways from the valley till the cedars. The House will therefore be clearly anchored in its environmental conditions.
To answer these needs the House will be accessible and highly visible. Its architecture, dynamism, vitality, and location would turn it into a significant place managed by the municipality. It will project Bsharre in the real sense of tourism, and reinforce the leading role of the Municipality. Interactivity between the House, its visitors and the population is an essential process. Professionals, artists, touristic association members will be invited to organize and lead activities. The architectural competition that is launched under the management of the Municipality of Bsharre is based on concepts and ideas for a house that will reflect all the constraints on site.
