Situated only a short walk from Vienna’s renowned Naschmarkt in „Margareten“ district, the boutique hotel brand „Hotel Indigo“ has opened its first property in Austria. The interior concept reflects the neighborhood’s artisan past, fusing contemporary elements with the cultural and atmospheric characteristics that shape this vibrant district.
With features such as secret courtyards, carpet tiles and herringbone flooring, guests will discover many references to Viennese Modernism and the influence of Otto Wagner, who significantly shaped the city’s DNA as an architect, furniture designer and urban planner.
Arriving at the hotel, the entrance is small and understated, leading guests through a long corridor adorned with greenery to the “hidden” hotel lobby and public space. Within the center of the hotel lies an atrium flooded with natural light and native hanging plants, providing a calming sanctuary for guests, while the floor-to-ceiling windows in the adjacent restaurant sustain the spacious atmosphere and create a visual link between the radiant inside and lush outside area.
