One of Berlin's largest meeting and conference hotels was in dire need of an update and a new direction that matched the pulse of the city outside its walls. The hotel rooms had begun to be updated earlier and now the common areas, meeting rooms and their surrounding areas needed to follow the evolution of the hotel. Kanozi, together with two other architectural offices, was invited to participate in a competition for the updated concept of the conference and common areas of the hotel. With the goal of creating "Hotel Berlin, Berlin - the most Berlin hotel in Berlin", Kanozi created a winning concept for the hotel, which was completed in early 2023.
After the renovation, the hotel has been voted by the meeting industry as "Top 1 Independent Meeting Hotel in Europe" and is both BREEAM & Green Key certified.
With over 30 meeting rooms, a restaurant, ballroom, a breakfast room that can be booked as an event space and a central cozy bar - the hotel has been redesigned according to Berlin's districts to reflect the uniqueness of each part of the city. The finishes, colors and feel reflect the unique character of the different districts and urban spaces.
