Hodson House

Annapolis, MD, United States

STATUS
Built
YEAR
2013
Hodson House, together with the adjacent Conversation Garden is the first building project to emerge from the 2009 Comprehensive Master Plan that our firm developed for the school. The goals established in the master planning effort along with the design principles that make the St John’s College Annapolis campus so special were the basis of our newest efforts.

Our intentions in the design of Hodson House were threefold: develop a site plan that afforded a campus entry from King William St. as gracious as the main campus entry from College Ave, design a structure that maintains and works in concert with the small scale/multi-purpose building that make up most of the campus infra-structure and finally to develop a design that is clearly a modern building but also adds to historic Annapolis.
