The new building replaces the previous auditorium and gymnasium. It also offers the opportunity to spatially grasp the heterogeneously grown ensemble, to meet the increased energy requirements and increasing numbers of students in the long term.
The basic design idea was to collect the publicly relevant uses distributed across satellite buildings in one building and thus give the school a new face.
The building includes an atrium as a logical extension of the existing structure. The development is efficiently connected to the existing school organism and enables the use of the existing stairwells and the elevator.
The complementary piece to the "School of the Three Courts" ensemble is being built in a meaningful way based on the passive house standard.
In the existing building, the teacher and administration area, as well as the school kitchen and specialist rooms are being renovated.
