The core of the new residential area is a central meadow-like space with wide, expansive structures and flowing green spaces. A three-storey “bow” extending continuously from north to south floats in a free curve over a series of two-storey “semi-basements”. The resulting broad gates create a generous spatial link with the entire surrounding residential area. “Peaks” and “towers” accentuate a certain urban landscape. In the central square are the ground floor zones are used for infrastructure (café, business). In order to deal with the noise pollution from r Wienerstraße along the western edge, instead of the usual form of a noise abatement wall, a generous inclined plan with soil cover was built. Internal to the residential area, the „sloping meadow“ forms an expanded green spaces which can be used for play (sledding hill, etc.); covered on the outside, it offers parking and access to the underground garage.
