The project's objective is to renovate an old level-4 house into a combined business and accommodation space, creating a peaceful retreat enveloped by nature. The renovation process must maximize the use of existing and available items, avoid cutting down trees, and prioritize the use of local materials to minimize construction waste as much as possible.
Leveraging the open space at the rear, which is a spacious garden, the design selects flexible, foldable furniture so that customers can easily choose a good spot to sit and enjoy their drinks. The indoor space is quieter and more secluded for working and studying. We have arranged several tables for group seating, and some study groups choose this space as their learning area.
Not many materials are used in this building, but they are used according to their true nature. Natural materials under sunlight, from an old house, old walls, a few old tiles used as steps, old iron sheets used as room signs – old things rearranged in a new life.
For the accommodation space, the project aims to create a stopover for tourists, with rooms designed to have suitable spatial dimensions. The interior design maximizes the raw and natural colors of the materials with an unusual green concrete floor and rough walls to make the space more unique – an atmosphere suitable for a temporary stay.
The common functions of the accommodation space ensure a practical aspect that meets the daily activities of travelers.
