The client approached us to renovate their existing 1970s ranch style home. She wanted a contemporary architectural style, open floor plan, and taller ceilings.
We created a heirarchy in shape, size, and height of elements to differentiate between the main entry, more commercial home office access, and tertiary front patio/living room flex space. The new roof framing over the main living area of the home has a large canopy in the back to allow for a rear covered patio without the added columns that hinder the use and views within the rear yard.
A master suite addition includes a spacious walk-in closet, sauna, double vanity, private water closet, double-sided fireplace, and small wet-bar. This program met the usage requirements of the homeowner as well as elevated and modernized the way that homes are lived in today.
The project is currently under construction and is anticipated to be completed near the end of 2026.
