Mancini•Duffy developed the design for the famed brewing company’s new 39,000 sf corporate offices at 245 Park Avenue in New York City, a consolidation of the business components Heineken USA and Heineken Americas from two previous locations. Heineken sought a workspace with a more open, collaborative approach rather than a space consisting of offices and cubicles. Mancini•Duffy developed a largely open-plan floor dotted with small lounge areas, dubbed the Star Lounges, suitable for impromptu meetings.
The heart of the office is devoted to a full-service bar showcasing Heineken product. Able to host corporate events and parties, as well as in-house after-hours socializing, the bar area also divides the two business components. Six conference rooms radiate around the central lounge, each highlighting one of Heineken’s brands.
The overall design acts as a strong expression of the Heineken brand, integrating its signature red star and brilliant green into different features throughout the space Mancini•Duffy provided custom graphics for conference-room tables, timeline wall displays, lightboxes, and columns, as well as tasting room imagery, and media graphics for the Star Lounges.
