Fully considering children’s nature, the movable teaching units are arranged in a staggered layout based on the principle of building blocks, a favorite game of children. The gaps created by the staggering and the setback terraces provide ample natural lighting indoors and diverse outdoor activity spaces respectively.
A rainbow-colored runway running through the ground and second floors connects all teaching and living functions of the kindergarten, injecting vitality into the campus and laying a foundation for practical and life-oriented teaching in the future.
Various natural images are introduced into the design. Guided by the rainbow runway, children can run through “deserts, lakes, forests, grasslands and hills”, realizing learning through play and enhancing the fun and playfulness of the campus.
Around the rainbow runway, a children’s paddling pool, a sandpit with slides combined with rubber climbing hills are set up. These facilities not only facilitate children’s daily entertainment and interaction between teachers and children, but also ensure convenience and safety during play.
Combined with the activity venues, the landscape design of tree species and lawns is further refined inside the campus. According to the actual site conditions, plant species harmless to children are selected, and the diversity of plant types and community characteristics are enriched as much as possible.
