Adopting the concept of “Blooming between mountains and rivers, innovating toward the future”, Hefei Future Science and Technology Industrial Park has systematically established a green and low-carbon system from four dimensions: ecological pattern, passive energy saving, low-carbon technologies, and smart operation.
Ecological Priority and Minimal Intervention
With ecological corridors as the planning framework, the park preserves the natural background of the site, connects Boyan Lake and Dashu Mountain, and forms a continuous ecological corridor. The undulating silhouette of the building clusters echoes the mountain-and-water landscape, achieving organic integration and minimizing damage to the original landform.
Passive Design and Climate Adaptation
Based on the climatic characteristics of Hefei, the design maximizes natural ventilation and daylighting to reduce mechanical energy consumption. Lightweight membrane structures are applied in landmark spaces, saving materials while creating distinctive venues. The prefabricated construction method reduces on-site energy consumption and construction waste.
Integration of Smart Energy and Low-Carbon Technologies
The plan includes a regional energy center and building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) to realize large-scale utilization of clean energy. An intelligent transportation system optimizes the efficiency of pedestrian and logistics flow, lowering transportation carbon emissions. AI interaction and digital navigation are integrated into public spaces, establishing a smart city platform and improving operational efficiency.
Near-Zero-Carbon Goal and Whole-Life-Cycle Sustainability
The park aims to become a new-generation near-zero-carbon science and technology park, with low-carbon technologies deeply integrated into daily scenarios. Functional clusters can be flexibly adapted to industrial demands, avoiding large-scale demolition and construction and ensuring long-term adaptability. Ultimately, the park achieves green synergy among ecology, industry and living.
