When PeaceHealth and Ronald McDonald House Charities set out to create the Heartfelt House, their mission was clear: provide calm, comfort, and clarity to families navigating one of life’s most difficult journeys. Many guests arrive from out of town, uncertain and focused entirely on supporting loved ones. What they needed was an environment that felt intuitive, grounded, and genuinely supportive. 2FORM answered that need by designing a 20-suite guest house and information center where support was only a few steps away. To ensure the space felt welcoming rather than clinical, we relied on the familiar: window seats, dormers, and trellises, all interpreted with a modern sensibility. Warm materials, a calming palette, and a clear spatial sequence guide guests with ease, creating a sense of belonging in an unfamiliar place.
