The house was designed for an overseas couple who wanted a warm, comfortable, energy-efficient home. The Brief was for 5 Bedrooms, 3 Bathrooms with Living/Kitchen/Dining, Snug, Utility, Garage, plus two large Carports.The challenge was to fulfill the brief for a relatively large residence whilst ensuring energy-efficient form and construction. The Planning Conditions/Covenants governed the building forms/materials to suit the character of the rural setting.
