Our design is trying to unite the diverse elements of the existing building. We developed the built solution by the use of models from in different scales from 1.100 up to 1:1 to optimize the impact of detail and materiality. Owner and contractor were close connected in the development which took place in our studio, several restaurants and on site.
The building process was taking place during the working days of the week. Weekends were for bathing. All building parts had to be transported from the shore with a pedalo boat.
