The Hamburg Harvestehude district is unique due to its location in a quiet, leafy area by the Alsterpark. The group of buildings is comprised of two city mansions and a park palace consisting of 30 dwellings between 1560 square feet and 3230 square feet.
Small components define the compact volume of the three residential buildings, while projections and recesses in the facade as well as roof gradations emphasize their vertical alignment. The open construction merges the indoor and outdoor spaces establishing extensive lines of sight.
The project preceded a multi-stage competition by the end of 2009, and the offices of BRT and BN ARCHITEKTEN shared the first rank. The realization of all three buildings and the exclusive interior design of most apartments were transferred to BN ARCHITEKTEN. The interior design concepts are also tailored to the individual needs of the client.
