Project description:
Planning and interior design of a family villa.
After their children left the nest, our customers wished to adapt the house to their new status and design a home with a large master bedroom, an office and two guestrooms.
Since the couple asked to stay in the house during the renovation, additional logistical planning was needed and the renovation process was divided into stages.
A massive renovation in an existing building often brings its fair amount of challenges, which we had to solve with patience, care and professionalism.
The master bedroom was relocated from the attic to the first floor and replaced the old children’s rooms’ space. We built a spacious walk-in closet and a private pampering bathroom to complete the room.
Alongside the bed we have opened up a large window from floor to ceiling, to create an interaction with the surroundings and let in natural light and air flow from the West.
A brand new parquet floor replaced the old wall-to-wall carpeting in the rooms and hallway. Porcelain tiles resembling concrete replaced the old flooring and white walls in the bathrooms.
On the other side of the first floor we designed two rooms: a guestroom and a study.
The old master bedroom location became a guest unit and underwent a complete makeover. The works included problem solving for old nuisance such as leaks, chipped walls and so-forth.
In addition to the interior design, the main entrance to the house and the front porch underwent a complete remodeling as well, including: a new gate for the driveway, replacing the garden pavement with granite skipping stones incorporated with smaller stones and vegetation, new flowerbeds, rocks, and trees.
