Restoration of the southern area of the Piazza Dante Gardens
Executive planning in collaboration with the Parks and Gardens Service of the Municipality of Trento.
The gardens in the southern area of Piazza Dante are the original site of the “Tamanini Project” and the ancient waterway can still be discerned. Indeed, when in 1955 the Adigetto Canal was interred, on the surface a large pond was created, wider than the original canal and crossed by a small foot bridge.
This fact is considered quite important, not only for its natural setting but also for its symbolic value and the ability to evoke a feeling of closeness to the ancient course of the Adige River.
The project therefore aims to enhance the presence of the lake with a play of water and reinterpret the shoreline as a meeting place.
