With sand and evergreen shrubs,
with wood and stone,
with fire red of the autumn tree.
and circle on neverending grass.
The landscape is woven into the architecture through paving, vistas and planting; all designed to encourage outdoor living on the entire site. Garden entrance is signed with sand frontyard, solitaire japanese cherry tree and groups of evergreen planting. Elements extending from the main house provide firm edge of the property. Seating circular sculpture was set beneath the birch trees. This unique garden element provides views from the house, framing the landscape as an eyecatcher. The structure acts as a positive force by harnessing the dramatic tension between the naturalistic and designed.
