The Stand was created to display and put in value the national handicraft products at the Expo-Food Exhibition Stand in October 2016..
Flexible, Self-Constructive, Reusable, are the three premises of our proposal. We understand the need for a flexible space, where the places of exposure of the products can generate different configurations according to the sample to be exhibited. That’s why this project is designed in a modular way, this means that the pieces follow a constant, a rhythm that can be modified in a free, radical, fast and in a simple way.
One of the premises of the design was to facilitate the assembly and disassembly of this one, since we believe that a "Pop Up Store" should not require a complicated implementation that takes time and that needs qualified specialists to mount it. Think in one "IKEA" project but large-scale, modulated parts that anyone can build. Those pieces are designed using pine wood and assembled under the "Press Fit" system which requires no screws or glue.
The main modules can be configured in a longitudinal or transverse way, responding to the complexity of the exhibition and generating a flexibility of the store, providing facilities for the curator in charge to expose the products of the best way possible.
By having the flexibility of the modulation, each exposure can be different, the panels can change, like the colors, to replace pieces, to mix them, etc. This not only means that the store will begin to produce a commercial-institutional identity with in the season of its use, but also, would eliminate the redesign of new posts and reduce the man-money cost.
