Espasso, the primary US liaison to Brazilian design, has gained continued exposure over the last few years. In 2006, we converted an 8,000 SF garment factory space in Tribeca into Espasso’s Manhattan flagship showroom. The design of the space aims to assert a clear brand identity that does not compete with the extraordinary, mostly wood products. The grand central staircase doubles as an amphitheater, informal seating area, and display platform, provoking various opportunities to experience these highly unique objects in unexpected ways. This project won a Merit Award for ‘Showroom of the Year’ by Interior Design Magazine in 2006.
