Eslite Spectrum Xindian redefines the retail interior as a cultural experience within a shopping mall. A central atrium, vaulted corridors, and cascading escalators form a clear circulation spine that organizes bookstore, retail, dining, and public space.
Movement becomes the primary design tool - guiding visitors through a sequence that can be understood as a contemporary path of pilgrimage, where everyday circulation is elevated into moments of discovery and pause.
Warm materials and rhythmic arches provide orientation and human scale, while the bookstore anchors the experience at the center. By turning circulation into identity, the project transforms a large commercial interior into an engaging environment where shopping, reading, and public life intersect.
