ERMISH HOUSING
Designed on a parcel with about 9 meters elevation difference, in Göktürk, the project has been developed as 3 separate blocks due to parcel’s irrational geometric form and to overcome the difficulty of providing daylight into the building structure.
This difference in mass sets the facade material as one but with different colors. On both streets, structures are separated from each other. The area between the blocks was planned as building entrances and common areas.
The system is populated and distributed from a single entrance. The typology created by the central planar core opens the block directions to the outside. Some of the houses, which are settled in the middle open spaces, are separated as the garden floors. The relationship between the blocks and their sizes are based on the current morphology of the area.
