Together with the BID Easton Main Street Initiative, OSD addressed the need to expand quality social space during the Covid pandemic. “Regrow the Grid,” reconnects the historic downtown neighborhood of Easton, Pennsylvania with its disconnected waterfront. Using locally supported public art and placemaking, the plan transforms the street network from a chaotic, vehicular maze into a streamlined pedestrian and bike network, whilst creating art walks, pop-up spaces, nature trails, and outdoor health and wellness programs—with consideration for the city’s future development plans. As a result of the design and planning effort, Easton was awarded construction funding through the American Rescue Plan (ARP).
