The concept for the store Rue Montmartre in Paris drew its inspiration from the spirit of the brand as the design explored the use of natural, bio-sourced, and environmental friendly materials.
Raw earth that covers almost the entirety of the walls was applied by hand. The brand logo was created specifically by using the Sgraffito technique.
The organic forms, such as niches sculpted out of clay, create an ambience that is at once elegant and authentic. The showcases made of thin metal shelves have been delicately encrusted into the clay.
Raw earth is encrusted with linen fiber, and it shines like an iridescent terracotta. The original stone is visible here and there, and the ochre-tinted concrete floor helps for a harmonious whole.
Two other Avril boutiques have also emerged, inside the Montparnasse train station in Paris and at Aéroville mall, with cork and bamboo respectively and as leitmotivs.
Atelier du Pont, Où est le beau and Folks (digital gallery and editor), in the space of a single day, co-invited designers to exhibit their works in the boutiques.
It was a beautiful conversation between architecture, materials, and craftsmanship of various kinds with pieces by Elisa Uberti, Camille Esnée, Léa Ginac, Valeria Vasi and Haeghen Paris.
