The civic center campus includes a 31,636 SF Public Safety Building and a 11,929 SF City Hall Building surrounding a large central plaza.

The Public Safety Building provides services for the local Fire Department and Police Department. The City Hall provides services for the City Council Chambers, Building, Planning and Public Works Departments, City Accounting services, staff lounge, Mayor offices and City Manager.

The design concept incorporates a Craftsman style of construction utilizing wood timber framing, dark earth tones and natural materials of stone, wood siding, metal roofing and trim. The site was designed with capacity for historical memorials, sculpture gardens, outdoor entertainment and events. Preliminary planning made future considerations for private or public commercial office buildings at the adjacent site.
